The First House sits on a tree-lined block where the loudest sound, most days, is somebody watering their lawn. The ground floor of a two-story home, kept private from the upstairs neighbours, with its own entrance and its own quiet.
Four rooms for guests — each with its own light, its own window, its own character. You choose the one that fits the trip; we'll help if you'd like.
Open the back door and there's a small lawn — grass, a few chairs, the kind of place to read until the page goes dark.
Mornings here are slow on purpose. The coffee is good and there's enough of it. The living room and the backyard are shared; the rooms are yours. The neighborhood walks south toward Olympic and west toward the museums; both are short drives, but the block itself is a destination if you came to rest.
첫 번째 집은 나무가 늘어선 골목길에 자리합니다. 대부분의 날, 가장 큰 소리는 누군가 잔디에 물을 주는 소리 정도. 2층 집의 1층이지만 위층과 분리되어 있고, 독립된 출입구와 독립된 고요함을 가지고 있습니다.
손님이 묵으실 방은 모두 네 곳 — 각 방마다 빛이 다르고, 창이 다르고, 분위기가 다릅니다. 일정에 맞는 방을 직접 고르셔도 좋고, 권해드려도 좋습니다.
뒷문을 열면 작은 잔디밭이 있습니다. 풀, 의자 몇 개, 그리고 글자가 보이지 않을 때까지 책을 읽기에 좋은 자리.
이곳의 아침은 의도적으로 느립니다. 커피는 좋고, 충분합니다. 거실과 뒷마당은 모든 손님이 함께 쓰고, 방은 각자의 것입니다. 동네는 남쪽으로는 올림픽 대로, 서쪽으로는 박물관 쪽으로 이어지고, 둘 다 차로 잠시면 닿습니다. 다만 쉬러 오셨다면, 이 골목 자체가 이미 목적지입니다.
